Objective:For hulled cottonseed as raw material, using two immiscible solvents to double liquid extraction, for extraction of oil, and removal gossypol, to extract the oil for biodiesel production by chemical method, and research the process of raffinose and gossypol extraction,sametime study cottonseed crude oil by simple alkali refining.then find the transesterification reaction conditions on the yield of fatty acid methyl ester to obtain better conditions. Study the utilization of the cottonseed processing, in order to achieve maximum use of the value of cottonseed.Method:Experiment using two-phase extraction method, the phenol removal cottonseed oil extraction, oil extracted to producte biodiesel, the content of gossypol using UV spectrophotometer to test, using water dilution to purify gossypol. Raffinose extraction by the ethanol contain water from the cottonseed, methanol phase after removal the extraction of gossypol can obtain the raffinose. Cottonseed oil through a easy alkali alkali refining, then centrifugal separation, removal of soap foot to obtain cottonseed oil can be used to producing biodiesel, through single factor experiments and orthogonal experiments, can get the level of reaction conditions. HPLC and TLC to be use analysis of biodiesel components.Results:1. Two-liquid extraction of cottonseed, methanol phase content the gossypol to 0.544%, after the removal of phenol removal oil and the free gossypol in cottonseed meal contain the free gossypol is 0.02%, bellowed the national standard of 0.04%, can be use in protein feed area development and utilization. Gossypol content in cottonseed crude oil was 0.108%,after alkali refining content reduced to 0.032%, quality get greatly improved.2. Water miscible ethanol can be used to extraction raffinose in cottonseed meal, affect the raffinose leaching rate of the most important factor is the leaching temperature, followed by the extraction time, is once again solvent ratio of materials, factors affecting the minimum solvent concentration, the best extraction conditions for the leaching temperature is 60℃,70% ethanol concentration, the material ratio of 1:14 (g/mL), reaction time was 150min. To the higher acid value of cottonseed crude oil as the raw material used increased by 9% caustic alkali refining the initial gross cottonseed oil, its simple acid decreased after alkali refining, the color fades suitable for the production of biodiesel, without further refining process than the direct use of refined oil processing bio-diesel production cost savings. To the oil as raw material for biodiesel transesterification, obtained conditions through the orthogonal optimal were the methanol to oil molar ratio of 6:1, the reaction temperature is 40℃, reaction time was 40 min amount of catalyst to 0.9% of the quality of cottonseed oil, fatty acid methyl ester yield was 98.81%.Conclusion and Discussion:1. Acidity cottonseed crude oil was greater than 10 commonly used two-step method, which first reduce the acid pre-esterification, transesterification further, but the raw materials used in this experiment cottonseed crude oil, deep color with a lot of impurities, If using this method would need to bleaching, process complexity. In this study, an acid value of 15 cottonseed crude oil through simple alkali refining, the oil can be used to obtain synthetic biodiesel, simple operation, can be used for industrial production, help reduce production costs.2. Two-phase extraction of cottonseed oil can be mentioned phenol removal, cottonseed oil can be used to produce bio-diesel, gossypol and raffinose can be extracted. Cottonseed meal as feed to provide protein or to increase the value of cottonseed.
