It is an important way to research new pesticides through finding biological activity substance from plants. There are abundant plant resources in the northwest China, which is an optimum area to find botanical biological active substance. Pro. Zhang Xing and Wu Wenjun have been done a lot of works on the activities of plants to pests. But nobody has done any research on the antifungal activity. The research is to utilize the plant resources sufficiently, and to find antifungal substance. It had tested the antifungal activity of 113 species of plant samples basing on former works of Pro. Zh.The results as following: The fungistasis of 113 plants acetone extracts were tested with Botnꊰis cirerea..Fusarium gram inearum .Phvtophtliora capsici.Glomerella cingulata and Exserohilum turcicuni in vitro test. Results showed. there vere 70 plants extracts(such as S ?wvescens.Mofficinalis.S. alopecuroides. P communis.M. charantia. et. al)had more than 60% inhibiting rates to the hypha growth or spore germination, and 27 plants extracts (such as A! officinalis.4 .-JIha.R. dentatz4s.S.charnae;asn?e.P granaturn. etc.) had more than 60% inhibiting rates to the hypha growth and spore germination. Having tested the antifungal activities of 44 plants extracts to tomato grey mould and wheat powdery mildev in vo condition. Results showed that 30 plants extracts which inhibiting rates were more than 50%. and among them. the rates of 6 plants extracts vere more than 70% to one gungi at least. Integrating the tests above . finding that 13 plants(such as T Ianceolata.O. glabra.R. dentatus.E. pokinesis.P COmfliiinis.S.c/ianiaejasme.et al.) extracts with strong fungistasis in vitro test and in vivo test. The fungistasis of S. itavescens.S. alopecuroides (root) and J. catliavonsis(stem)were stronger. Hang tested the activity of plants extracts to tomato grey mould on tomato. The results were accurate. The results showed.the fungistasis of S. alopecziroides(root) was stronger, the fungistasis was same as that in Gansu and Xinjiang. The antifungal substance of S. alopecuroides( root) were in the acetone extract. alcohol extract and aqueous extract. The fungistasis rates of the 3 extracts were more than 80% in vitro test and more than 50% in vivo test. Having been tested fungistasis of acetone extract of S. alopecuroides (root) , mixed alkaloids of S. alopecuroides. matrine. oxymatrine. sophocarpine and sophoradine .The results showed the activities almost had no difference between that of acetone extract of S. alopecuroides( root) and alkaloids of S. alopecuroides. The gungistasis of sophocarpine and sophoradine were hinger. The EC50 (gIL) of sophocarpine to hypha of B. cirerea.F. grarninearum..P capsici.G. Cingulata and E. turcicuni were 2.9818, 1.6350, 1.8081, 0.55 13, 0.2239 in turn. and the EQ0 (g/L) of sophoradine were 1.4010, 1.0133, 1.7293, 0.7678, 0.9170 in turn.
