In this paper, by adding gonadal hormone to tadpole nurture, we observed the induction role of gonadal hormone on tadpole sex differentiation and gonadal development during the ontogenetic development of Rana temporaia chensimensis. Here we discussed the best way and method to control the sex differentiation of Rana temporaia chensimensis and the promotive effect of gonadal hormone on the growth development of tadpole.Result: the sex hormone feed is made by adding different doses of sex hormone to tadpole feed. While the tadpoles ingest the feed, the sex hormone is absorbed into the tadpole body through gastrointestine. The inductive role is obvious. The proportion of female tadpoles in the three experimental groups, which is more than 80 percent ,is higher than that of the control group. The average weight of the experimental tadpole is higher than that of the control group. Therefore, the experimental method of adding gonadal hormone to tadpole feed can induce the sex differentiation and promote the growth of tadpole. It is feasible to control the sex of Rana temporara chensinensis. The experiment proved that both the gonadal hormone breeding method and gonadal hormone solution dip ing method can effect the inducing and controlling of the sex differentiation of Rana temporaia chensinensis. But the former method has the advantages of low cost and simple operation and can be adapted in practice easily.
