| Soilless cultivation is a technology that can be applied to provide nutrient to plant not in natural soil but in the nutrient media that contains the necessary elements for the growth of plants, and with this technology, the plants can pass the whole life cycle in the normal way in this nutrient media. The nutrient media is the key factor for this Soilless cultivation. Whether we can provide a reasonable proportion and moderate density of nutrient media is the major factor that can lead to the success of the cultivation. Since whether the plants can absorb this nutrient media depends on the different type and characters of the nutrient fluid, Therefore, it is a practical problem on how to choose the nutrient fluid which is cheep as well as suitable for plantation. Mountain kelp,a newly developed foliage plant , has different demand for nutrient fluid due to its own physiological feature. In this article, the author focus on choosing the suitable nutrient media for mountain kelp from different already-available recipes. The final mixed media is based on this recipe but is the suitest mixture of coco-husk stroma with suitest density. The following is the conclusion based on the experiment on the mountain kelp cultivation. ⑴Ammonium nitrate should be added when the nutrient media contains 505mg/L niter. Within 0-160mg/, the supply of nitrogen manure can be increased. The nitrogen and phosphorus can help the synthesis of chlorophyll and protein , improve the efficiency of photosynthesis, quicken the growth rate for the mountain kelp and make them more attractive to viewers. (2)If the density of monopotassium phosphate in the nutrient media is within the 0-136mg/L, with the increase of phosphorus supplies, the nitrogen and phosphorus in the mountain kelp can be increased, therefore, it can improve the growth rate for the the roots and leaves . ⑶There is a positive relationship between nitrogen and phosphorus. The increase of nitrogen manure and phosphorus manure can improve the density of nitrogen and phosphorus in the plant. The suitest nutrient media for mountain kelp can be obtained by adding 120mg/L ammonium nitrate and 136mg/L monopotassium phosphate in the solution of 505mg/L niter。⑷When breed nutrient media, the best nutrient elements can be selected from the followings: chemical terminology dosage (mg/L) Niter 505 ammonium nitrate 120 monopotassium phosphate 136 bitter salt 246 calcium chloride 333 ⑸The higher the content of coco-husk, the better for the growth of mountain kelp. ⑹There should not be too much perlite in the media cultivation. The best density for perlite is within 10-20%. Perlite can reduce the density of N,P elements in the plants. Therefore, the high density of perlite in the nutrient media is disadvantages for the absorption of N,P,K elements. ⑺the suitest media recipe for the coco-husk stroma mountain kelp cultivation : coco-husk 5;peat soil 3;perlite 2... |
