In this experiment, the lactic acid bacteria strains which separated from the silage were identified and used to ensilage the corn stove, and with which the silage quality was improved. 10 strains were separated and indentificated, 4 strains were defined as L.plantarum, 2 strains as L.cidophilu, 2 strains as L. pentosus., 1 strain as P. acidilactici. The acid- production rate of the 10 strains was determined ,the result indicated that L.plantarum (Gy2) , L.plantarum (Gy4) and Pediococcus acidilactici (Byl) had strong ability of producing acid. So they were used to ensilage the corn stover in laboratory. The changes of pH and bacterial population during the fermention were measured , and found that every treatment's pH decreased fast and the cell counts reached 10 times in three days compared with the control. Sensory assessment and comprehensive assessment of Ammonia-N were performed when the com silage ripened after 60 days. In comparision to the conventional silage ,the content of Ammonia-N and water-soluble carbohydrate decreased significantlyl(p<0. 01), the content of crude protein increased significantly (p<0. 01). The dry matter and crude ash was no significant difference between the contrast and the control, the silage incubated with L.plantarum (Gy2) and Pediococcus acidilactici (Byl) improved significantly. The content of water-soluble carbohydrate,Ammonia-N decreased 17%, 46 % respectively. And the content of crude protein increased 12%.In comparision to the silage with the addition of Syn Lac dry, the silage incubated with L.plantarum (Gy2) and Pediococcus acidilactici (Byl) improved significantly. The content of water-soluble carbohydrate, Ammonia-N and crude protein were significantly difference (p<0. 05).The ammonia nitrogen content ratio declined by 26% crude protein content increased by 3% .
