Studies On The Influence Of Quan Shu Mian Compound Anesthetic On Respiration Function, Cardiovascular Efficiency And Its Anesthesia Effect

Quan Shu Mian is a combined anesthesia agent developed according to the theory of balanced anesthesia,mainly applied in dog and cat anesthesia.It consists of analgesics, sedatives and alpha-adrenergic receptor agonists.The best ratio determined after a large number of experiments is:analgesics:sedatives:alpha-adrenergic receptor agonists = 0.5:2:0.5(volume ratio in mixture).In order to ensure the consistency of this experiment conditions,intravenous injection of Quan Shu Mian based on the basal anesthesia with the Su Mian Xin mixture,maintains anesthesia for 90 min.Changes of respiratory function, cardiovascular efficiency and anesthetic effect are observed and the parameters of blood gas determined to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical application of Quan Shu Mian.The study was divided into three experiments:ExperimentⅠ:Influence of Quan Shu Mian compound anesthetic on cat respiratory function,cardiovascular efficiency and its anesthesia effectThe heart rate,respiratory rate,blood oxygen saturation,body temperature and invasive blood pressure(including systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure and average pressure) were recorded every 5 min after 8 cats were anesthetized by intravenous injection. Meanwhile,the cardiac sound intensity,heart rate were monitored and the effects of analgesia,sedation and muscle relaxation were observed.The results showed that the respiratory rate had a stable change,a minimum(25.3±2.7 times/min)(P>0.05) appeared at 15 min,and the saturation of blood oxygen always maintained at more than 95 percent(P>0.05) after intravenous injection of Quan Shu Mian.The systolic blood pressure at 1 min (138.0±7.5 mmHg) and 10 min(153.7±12.2 mmHg) had significant difference(0.01<P<0.05) and the body temperature continuously descended when compared with that of before intravenous anesthesia,the changes of other physiological parameters were periodic change but the entire range of change was within the physiological values.The anesthesia maintenance time of Quan Shu Mian for the cat were about 39 min,and the anesthesia depth and muscle relaxation presented well.ExperimentⅡ:Effect of Quan Shu Mian compound anesthetic on blood gas index of cat8 cats premedicated with Su Mian Xin for the basal anesthesia were anesthetized with Quan Shu Mian(0.08 mL/kg) through intravenous injection.Blood samples were collected from femoral artery and blood gas analysis was performed at 0 min,10 min,30 min,60 min,90 min before and after administration of Quan Shu Mian.The pH 7.33±0.015(P>0.05) of blood decreased before intravenous anesthesia to 7.30±0.10(P>0.05) at 10 min after intravenous anesthesia,and then gradually increased to 7.38±0.049(P>0.05) at 90 min; but the pH value changed in the normal range and the results showed that the effect of the composite analgesic on cat blood gas parameters was very little.ExperimentⅢ:Study of Quan Shu Mian compound anesthetic on canine anesthesiaAfter pre-anesthesia medication with Su Mian Xin mixture,Quan Shu Mian were given to 20 cross-breed and 40 purebred dogs in accordance with the dose of 0.1 mL/ kg (cross-breed dogs),0.08 mL/kg(purebred dog) by intravenous injection,maintained anesthesia for 90 min.Each 5 min after the intravenous medication,canine breathing rate, heart rate and body temperature changes were recorded,and anesthetic effect observed.The results showed that the heart rate increased first and then decreased.At 90 min after intravenous anesthesia,a minimum of the heart rate(102.0±4.5 times/min)(P<0.01) appeared.In the course of anesthesia,the respiratory rate had no significant change(P>0.05),but the body temperature continuously decreased and the minimum was 36.1±0.1℃(P<0.01).Quan Shu Mian balanced anesthesia for general anesthesia of dogs had the advantages followed as:good anesthetic safety,rapid recovery,less influence on physiological functions,manipulation simply,good controllability.
