In veterinary clinic, there are many types of anesthetic drugs for dogs, each of which has its advantages, but also has its disadvantages. So far,no single anesthetic drug can achieve the clinically desired anesthetic effect.Qiangtongning has a good analgesic effect on dogs and cats, while dexmedetomidine has no obvious inhibition on respiration when it plays a sedative and analgesic effect. When the two drugs were used in combination with other anesthetics, they had a good general anesthetic effect, but the effect of Dexmedetomidine Combined with Q iangtongning(DQ)in dog anesthesia has not been reported. In this study, the combination of dexmedetomidine and qiangtongning was optimized by using mice and adult dogs as experimental animals to provide reference for the selection of compound anesthetic drugs for dogs.Firstly, the rough proportion of the two drugs was preliminarily determined through the preliminary test, and the best ratio of the dog’s compound anesthetic was obtained through the Two factor combination test, the dog’s anesthetic effect verification test and the safety verification test of the best prescription. Then the dog was anesthetized by neck intramuscular injection with the optimal compound anesthetic and Quanmianbao respectively, and the results of routine monitoring, special monitoring and electrocardiogram monitoring were compared. Finally,DQ mixture was applied to test dogs for surgical verification to verify its clinical application effect.Test results show that:The optimal ratio of Dexmedetomidine and Qiangtongning in dog combined anesthetic was 0.16:0.2(calculated according to the volume of a single injection in the mixture).Mice were selected as experimental animals for acute toxicity test, and half of the effective amount and half of the lethal amount of the mixture we re measured according to BLISS method, and the anesthetic index AI=4.85 was calculated, indicating that the safe range of the mixture was relatively large. The results of the comparative experiment show that:induction period of DQ mixture was shorter and the anesthesia time was more suitable. The analgesic, sedative and muscle relaxant effects during anesthesia are satisfactory and balanced.Temperature(T)showed a downward trend, heart rate(HR)and respiratory rate(RR)tended to decrease and then increase, and the blood oxygen saturation(Sp O2)in the whole anesthesia process was more than 80%,Oxygen inhalation is required.Systolic blood pressure(SBP)diastolic blood pressure(DBP)and mean arterial pressure(MAP)also showed a downward trend, but both were within the normal physiological range.By comparing the anesthetic effects of the two combinations,it can be seen that the influence of DQ on the respiratory system and heart of the dog’s circulatory system is less than that of Quanmianbao.Surgical verification test showed:it is concluded that DQ mixture can provide 50-60 minutes of anesthetic time, the anesthetic effect is good, can successfully complete the laparotomy exploration castration and other small operation.Compared with the anesthesia group, the temperature loss was more in the operation process, but the thermal insulation nursing was carried out during the operation,so there was no significant difference in the data. There was no significant difference between the operation group and the anesthesia group in heart rate, respiration rate, blood oxygen saturation, mean arterial pressure at the same time point. The test result showed that:the induction period of DQ is short, and the anaesthesia time of50-60 minutes can be maintained. The anaesthesia effect is good, and the sedation, analgesia and muscle relaxation effect is indeed and balanced, with less impact on the respiratory and circulatory system, small side effects,it can be used for dogs.
