Object:To observe the clinical effect of the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathic by warm needling method and to discuss its mechanism of action.Method:60 DPN patients conforming to the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into the warm needling method group (30patients)and control group(30patients).Based on the basic treatment, the warm needling method group was given both war m needling met hod and intramuscular injection of methycobal(mecobalamin)on both sides' zusanli, sanyinjiao, taixi, quchi, hegu, yanglingquan, wai guan, taichong. The control group was given acupuncture as well as intramuscular injection of methycobal(mecobalamin). And the course of the treatment lasts 4 weeks. The changes in the symptoms and nerve conduction velocity(NCV) both before and after the treatment were observed and compared.Result:The total effective rate of the warm needling method group was 90%,while that of the control group was 63.3%.The for mer is superior to the later(p<0.05).However,with respect to the degree of improvement inclinical symptoms, such as theacroanesthesia, pain,sp asm,and the absent or reduced vibration sense and anklereflex, etc, the treatment group was more significant than the control group (p<0.05) It can also improve the nerve conductive velocity and reduce the MNSI score.Compared with the medicine group, there is significant difference(p<0.01).Conclusion:This subject has confirmed warm needling method is an effective treatment for alleviating DPN,it can improve the clinical symptoms and nerve conduction velocity of the patients, and also reduce the MNSI score. Thus effectively controlle diabetes peripheral neuropathy, and its overall respose is superior to mecobalami n.So it is a safe, effective and scientific treatment, and we should promote it to more clinical application.
