Objective:To investigate the association between the polymorphism of HLA-DRB1gene,HLA-DQB1 gene and Susceptibility to tuberculosis in Xinjiang Kazaks Population..Methods:(1)Using case-control study, we selected 231 tuberculosis cases and 230 controls Kazaks population from Xinjiang provinces. (2)The polymorphism of HLA-DRB1 gene and HLA-DQB1 gene in the two groups were detected with polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primers(PCR-SSP) technique, Gene frequency (GF) and odds ratio (OR) were calculated and compared.. (3)The SPSS 13.0 was used, to analyze the difference between the frequency of HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 alleles of the 2 groups by chi square test.(P<0.05)Results:(1) The frequency of allele HLA-DRB1*04 of cases are 11.72%, and the same alleles of controls are 6.75%, p<0.05. OR= 1.889, there are significant differences of alleles HLA-DRB 1*04 between the 2 groups; The frequency of DRB1*10 was also increased, but the difference was not statistically significant(2.86% vs 1.09%; P>0.05). (2) The frequency of allele HLA-DQB1*0201 of cases are 25.60%, and the same alleles of controls are 16.90%, p<0.05. OR=1.8802, there are significant differences of alleles HLA-DQB1*0201 between the 2 groups.Conclusions:(1) These results show that HLA-DRB1*04 allele may be a susceptible gene in tuberculosis of Xinjiang Kazaks population. (2) These results show that HLA-DQB1*0201 allele may be a susceptible gene in tuberculosis of Xinjiang Kazaks population.
