The Clinical Study Of 110℃ Pingyangmycin-lipiodol Emulsion Via Intra-aryerial Thermochemotherapy In Huge Hemangiomas Of Live

Objective:To compare the curative effect of the 110℃pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion via intra-aryerial thermochemotherapy in huge hemangiomas of live with the tranditional intra-aryerial chemoembolization.Methods:We choose 60 cases from February,2007 to September,2009.The study object are the patient with huge hemangiomas of live. Those patients's tumors are huge and excessive.They reluctant to accept operation. Sixty patients were divided into study group and control group. Intra-hepatic-arterial chemoembolization was performed in all patients. For patients in study group the solution was warmed up to 110℃,while the patients in control group the temperature of solution was normal. Observation on tumor volume before and after the therapy was made, in order to evaluate the curative effect of both methods and compare to each other.Results:Before interventional treatment, there are 25 patients have symtoms in the control group and 26 patients have symtoms in the study group. There are no remarkable difference between both groups (p>0.05).The tumor volume of study group is 8.48±4.70cm, The tumor volume of control group is 8.49±3.10cm. There are no remarkable difference between both groups (p>0.05). After interventional treatment, Five patients's clinical syptoms disappeared, twenty-three patients improved greatly and two patients no any change in control group. Six patients's clinical syptoms disappeared, twenty-four patients improved in study group.There are no remarkable difference (p>0.05).After interventional treatment the tumor volume were decreased in both groups. The tumor volume of study group was decreased more than the tumor volume of control group. There were 12 patients's tumor diameter are less than half of the preoperative in contral group. There were 23 patients's tumor diameter are less than half of the preoperative in study group. There are remarkable difference in two groups(p<0.05). The patients of both groups have some afteroperative reactions,such as pain of hepatic region, low-grade fever, slight nauseated and vomiting. There are no special bad reactions and complications in study group.Conclusion:The method of 110℃pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion via intra-aryerial thermochemotherapy in huge hemangiomas of live and the tranditional intra-aryerial chemoembolization are all effective. After interventional treatment the tumor volume were decreased in both groups. The tumor volume of study group was decreased more than the tumor volume of control group.the method of 110℃pingyangmycin-lipiodol emulsion via intra-aryerial thermochemotherapy is a treatment with more effective, safety; less hazard,complications and lower recurrence rate to the patient with huge hemangiomas of live.The method is a new way to cure the huge hemangiomas of live.
