Objective: To explore the relationship between endothelial injury and the level of ANG-1, ANG-2, TNF-αand vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) by the observation of ANG-1, ANG-2, TNF-αand VEGF in blood plasma of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation patients. Methods: Plasma cytokines level (including ANG-1, ANG-2, TNF-αand VEGF) were assessed from 15 patients using a sandwich enzyme-linked immunological assay (ELISA). Plasma ANG-1, ANG-2, TNF-αand VEGF levels of the patients before HSCT and at different time points in the post-HSCT period were measured. Results: (1) The level of TNF-αin allo-HSCT was the lowest in 1 week and then continued to increase up to 3weeks. (2) The level of VEGF in allo-HSCT was the lowest in 1 week and then increased. (3) ANG1 and ANG2 had the same trend: The level of ANG1 and ANG2 in allo-HSCT continued to increase up to 3weeks. (4) Infection, the different conditioning regime and HLA matching indicatored no i nfluence on the level of the index.Conclusion:(1) The elevation of TNF-αand VEGF, which are GVHD markers after allogeneicsct was observed.(2) ANG1 and ANG2 exhibited significant elevation in the early phase (2-3weeks) after SCT. ANG1 and ANG2 are the biological mediums which are associated with endothelial injury.
