Background:Several kinds of autoantibodys were found in circulation of COPD and anti-epthelium antibody was the most frequently found in plasma. Objective: To explore whether the antibody against H441 cells which originate from airway epthelium is elevated and whether the levels of anti-H441 antibody is correlated with systemic biomarkers.Design and Methods: Cross-sectional design, the two groups were smokers with COPD and smokers without COPD .Anti-H441 antibody was determined by Cell-ELISA and systemic inflammation biomarkers ( CRP, IL-6, fibrinogen ) were determined by ELISA in plasma and induced sputum. Results: The anti-H441 antibody levels were elevated in the plasma of the stable COPD patients(OD, 1.20 vs 1.02,P<0.01),but there was no significant difference for the antibody levels between two groups in induced sputum. The plasma concentrations of CRP and IL-6 were positive correlated with each other(r=0.751,P<0.01).In the all patients ,the anti-H441 antibody levels was positive correlated with the plasma concentrations of CRP(partial eta square=0.252, P<0.01)and IL-6 (partial eta square=0.128, P<0.01).Conclusion: The anti-H441 antibody levels in plasma is elevated in stable COPD patients; In all smokers ,the anti-H441 antibody levels was positive correlated with systemic inflammation biomarkers.
