The "Treatise" ethics of Tibetan Buddhism can be traced back to the original Indian Buddhism's arise. When the Buddhism was founded, in view of the case including expanding of nuns, because of the increasingly expanded Sangha scale, different qualities of monks as welt as the misconduct cases of monks, Sakyamuni developed commandment which was used to maintain the order and so that make believers'code of conduct correct. The content of "Treatise" precepts was developed from the "Five Precepts" which was closely related to the religion's ethics of that time, including Brahmanism, Jainism etc. From the view of Buddhism's generation, the emergence of Buddhism had a direct relationship with the Brahmanism's corrupt and the social thought's rise of a variety of anti-Brahmanism.After the transmission of the Tibetan Buddhism in the Tibetan area, through the development of nearly one thousand years, the unique system of Tibetan Buddhism was formed. The ethics of the "Treatise" in Tibetan Buddhism made a deep influence on the national mentality, national character, national customs and the formation of national customary law of the Tibetan minority, and it is an indispensable component of the traditional Tibetan culture. The "Treatise" regulates the content of the moral life of the Tibetan community and it is a guide to the action for people.The ethics of the "Treatise" of Tibetan Buddhism has an important reference value for healing the moral ills of present society as well as the reconstruction of the socialist moral system. By digging the inside ideological essence of the Tibetan Buddhist ethics and talking about how to reinterpretate and elucidate the moral value under the new era, this thesis provides a useful reference for building a harmonious society.
