Study On Application Of Christian Plastic Arts Elements In Garment Accessory Design

Much attention has been given to religious culture, traditional culture and protection of immaterial cultural heritage in recent years. Most people, however, know little about religious culture, in particularly, the young people tend to regard the unique and traditional cultural mode and activity form of Christianity simply as superstition and alternative. Therefore, in order to promote content and spirit of Christianity exactly, the essential cultural connotation and art form of its shall be spread to readers and the world in the way of modern media and modern cultural exhibiting form. Only in this way, Christianity could be promoted, inherited and developed well with time.Compared with garment, garment accessories are at subordinate side. But like garment, garment accessories also records the development and variation of human emotion, spirit and society, which plays an irreplaceable language role in the integral clothing effect of human beings, conveying individual information and ethnic cultural features. Also, garment accessories are the symbol of fortune and representation of fashion, applying traditional Christian plastic arts elements into modern design of jewelry smartly, which caters to enthusiasm of people for open fashion as well as promotion, heritage and development of Christian culture, and a brand-new breakthrough in the field of garment accessory design.The plastic arts of western Christianity is analyzed and sorted firstly in the paper, including symbols and marks etc. such as Christian painting, costume, sculpture, architecture, cross and figures etc. The cultural connotation of Christian material, spirit and art reflected from those plastic arts elements are analyzed deeply. This paper focuses on the application of Christian arts elements in design of garment accessories. Firstly, the typical element(s) of various plastic arts are abstracted; secondly, based on its distinctive features, to find out the appropriate point combining with modern garment accessories, and design modern garment accessories; thirdly, to advance the style trend of Christian garment accessories and the design principle suitable for development of Christian garment accessories design; and finally, the expectation on the development of Christian garment accessories.This paper aims to exhibit Christian culture in new forms of arts, and bring Christian religious elements into garment accessories to identify the products in integral global market.
