The Black Death from Central Asia spread from Europe to the England in 1348. The plague spread quickly along the waterways in the England because of the British special climatic conditions, man-made destruction of the ecological environment, poor sanitation and urban poor people's health habits. The England population plummeted rapidly because of the Black Death. The mortality rate of the whole community come about between 45% -50% by analysis the mortality of the priest and civilian . The England population developed slowly after the Black Death according to population replacement rate. The labor was shortages because of the population drop sharply. So agriculture came about crisis. Face with this situation, lords had to change the mode of management. The traditional manerium collapsed rapidly. The serfdom also disappeared and letting became popular. The management also changed, big land became prevalence. At the same time, pasturage became more and more. The England agriculture had been recovering gradually. The commerce and towns had begun to restore prosper driven by the agricultural. The management of government and law of British became better. At the same time, the England class of society had some new sectors. The British social idea had changed. After the Black Death, the recognize of people about religion, life and death had undergone major changes. Therefore, the Black Death played an important role in England transformation during the Middle Ages.
