The music composition is the precondition of music playing and enjoying. The music opus is the fundamental of every activity concerning music which expresses the knowing and feeling to life by the composer. Meanwhile the music opus is the content of what the enjoyer to enjoy, by which the value of the music is indicated. As a result, the music opus is a bridge leading composer to the enjoyer.By studying the music opus we can find what the enjoyer needs in their mind on different time period. However, the creating methods of the composer is the key of the music opus which shows the composer's thoughts during creation. Since the tamber is one of the most important creation methods, we believe that knowing and understanding it may help us learning other music knowledge related to music.After collecting and reading hundreds of essays about music tamber (name lists as attached), we can find that most of them focus on discussions on the physical character of the tamber and the importance of tamber from a music playing view, but seldom to discuss the tamber in an aesthetics aspect.This essay will narrate in detail the development of tamber, the effective elements to tamber and the significant position of tamber during music creation. There are altogether three parts of this article. The first part is about the definition of tamber, from the way of stating the classification of tamber by analyzing different references and the effective elements to tamber. The second part is to state the developing history of tamber, by running down the time to find new chances in music composing brought by changing of tamber. The third part will concentrate on the essence of tamber, which is also the core of this essay, to state that tamber is playing an important role in music composition.
