The Research On The Structure Of Fables In Lvshichunqiu

A long time ago, Chinese fables literature had been created, and during Warring States Period the fables literature became flourished. Lvshichunqiu is the important representative of allegory literature pieces and of great significance. It has huge number, contains deeply, embodies distinctively boundless charm of the Pre-Qin literature, and has far-reaching effects for unborn literature. At present, academic field rarely discussed for the structure of fables in Lvshichunqiu thoroughly, so the paper makes a special research for these problems necessarily.The first chapter discusses the concept of fable on the basis of former research. When we are grasping the meaning of fable as a literary genre, we should base on the unification of the two elements: the character of fiction and plot. Secondly this paper discusses the research status quo of Lvshichunqiu's fables since ancient to the modern time, and then makes a brief introduction about the aim of writing and using fables.The second chapter is searching the structure of"fable groups". According to the relationship between fables and dominant themes in each chapter, it divides fables into two kinds——implicitness and obviousness which in line with the location of dominant themes are grouped into three types. In the meanwhile, making an analysis of different compositions among fables, for instance, juxtaposition, contrary, forwarding, etc.The third chapter focuses on using the concept of signans and designatum which used to be in the linguistics by Saussure to analyze interrelation between fable story itself and dominant theme in each fable. We can find that the signans of fable has many underlying meaning and the designatum will point out the real theme and limit readers to associate widely. And in this part, this paper is researching the intrinsic principles of combining signans and designatum, namely, analogy principle and illustration principle. In accordance with the location of signans and designatum, it indicate the external methods of combining signans and designatum, namely, immediateness, distance and implicitness.The forth chapter includes analyzing narrative structures of fables in Lvshichunqiu using structuralist theories of Roland Barthes. According to the function of incidents, narratability can be divided into hard core, subplot, sign and information. In the deep extent, fables imply dualistic structure and one-dimensional choices in characters, as well as role patterns. In addition, this paper analyzes the relaters and narrative angle of fables also. These researching which show the changes of relaters are helpful to understand the thought and the aims of author.The fifth chapter mainly introduces the causes of absurd fables form the structures of space time, discourse, behavior, thought. This chapter indicates a fact that derisions of Lvshichunqiu focus on people in Chu and Qi and analyze the causes of it in many aspects, such as history, reality and customs.The sixth chapter summarizes the value and influence of fables in Lvshichunqiu. First, in language, it produces a great many of idioms which enrich our national language greatly. It also makes an impact on literature and art including latter fables, novels and historical literature, etc.This paper researches integral structures, individual structure, surface structure and deep structure on the achievement made by predecessors and supplements which are faulty and neglected. This paper contributes to construct the whole system of researching on Lvshichunqiu.
