| "Cinderella-type" stories are folk stories which are widely spread around the world. They have their unique characteristics in different regions, different countries, and different ethnic stories. The plot of the "Cinderella-type" stories in Thai-Dai nationality is complicated. They turn rich content, long length, lively and simple language, meaningful ethnic culture and profound significance. They are known in the area of Thai-Dai nationality. However, China's Dai, Thailand's Thai, Myanmar'Shan have already separated in the three countries. With different social environment, differences in the development of different countries, Dai, Thai, Shan'folk culture gradually has been different."Cinderella-type"stories in different countries'Thai-Dai nationalities have also changed.This paper observes the spread, evolvement and cultural connotation of the "Cinderella-type" stories in different countries'Thai-Dai nationality by the comparative study of the wisdom of "Cinderella-type" stories which are spread in Dai, Thai and Shan. It expounds the correlation among Dai, Thai and Shan from another angle to promote understanding and friendship among peoples.This paper is divided into five parts. In the introduction, the author outlines the purpose of writing, meaning and methods; briefly introduces the cultural identity of Dai, Thai and Shan.In the first chapter, the author defines the "Cinderella-type" stories of Thai-Dai nationality; selects the typical text of the stories; translates the stories of Dai's "Sandalwood tree", Shan's "Meiyong tree" and "A Luan Lang Yu Xiang Guo". It analyzes and compares the main plot of 9 stories; sorts and introduces Thai-Dai's "Cinderella-type" stories by using comparison and induction.In the second chapter, it analyzes the stories'meanings by the comparison of the motif and structure of the "Cinderella-type" stories of Dai, Thai and Shan. The meanings of"Cinderella-type"stories of Thai-Dai nationality are to educate and guide people in the world. The plot of the stories always reflects Thai-Dai nationality's moral concept of ethics and poetic justice, some of the stories are told to teach people.In the third chapter, it analyzes the Buddhism ideology and the teaching significance in the stories by analyzing the cultural connotation of Dai, Thai and Shan's Cinderella-type"stories. The lecture can be heard in the stories by old men. They use the stories'moral ethical concept to influence people. The "Cinderella type" stories of Thai-Dai nationality are always social "textbooks" to teach people to comply with family moral ethics, to guide people do good things in their whole lives. In conclusion, the author summaries the features of the "Cinderella-type" stories of Thai-Dai nationality again, expounds author's view, inadequate and research orientation in the features. |
