Study On The Important Transcendences Of The Concept Of "harmonious World" Over The "democratic Peace Theory"

Peace and development have become the prime themes of the current world. Closely focusing on these themes, nations all over the world have put forward a series of important international relation theories, among which "Democratic Peace Theory" and the Concept of "Harmonious World" stand out. The two theories respectively represent the different views on the issue of promoting human peace and development holding by western civilization and eastern wisdom.April 2005, in the Asia and Africa Summit held in Djakarta, Present Hu Jintao put forward the significantly strategic theory of building harmonious world. In the year 1983, "Democratic Peace Theory" was first mentioned in the article "Kant Liberal Legacies and Foreign Affairs" written by Michael. W. Doyle. It has not only aroused wide attention in the international relation research field, but also won general approval of the western policymakers. The central thesis of "Democratic Peace Theory" is that democratic countries seldom fight with each other and are apt to settle disputes and conflicts by nonviolent means. As brand new international relation theory system, the Concept of "Harmonious World" differs from "Democratic Peace Theory" essentially. The former is guided by Marxist philosophy and principles to reflect on and investigate such issues----global peace, development and cooperation. On the contrary, the latter was shackled by the parochiality of Capitalism.My article concerns on the significance of the Concept of "Harmonious World" which helps promote global peace, development and cooperation. The Concept of "Harmonious World" has conformed to the contemporary tendency which lays stress on pursuing peace, seeking development and promoting cooperation in that it attaches great importance to the enduring peace and sharing development among different nations. In last few years, some increasingly deteriorated international problems has drawn much attention, such as, incessant collisions, rampant terrorism, vast gap between the rich and poor, environmental pollution and ecological damage. It is undeniable that the "Democratic Peace Theory" functions sometimes but with a defect which was inbred, when coming to the solution of those global problems. What I will present in this essay is to define, discuss and exemplify the Concept of "Harmonious World", at the same time to analyze its flaws and demonstrate advantages over the "Democratic Peace Theory" with the aim to highlight the value of the Concept of "Harmonious World" contributing to human peace and development. Having made achievements in human peace and development, the Concept of "Harmonious World" clearly illuminates that the Marxist philosophy and principles are both scientific and true.The Concept of "Harmonious World" injects fresh vigor which helps to solve those world peace and development-related problems, from the perspective, we can easily discriminate the advantage of the Concept of "Harmonious World" over The Concept of "Harmonious World"; because the Concept of "Harmonious World" has reflected China's sincere expectation of the world development trend. It contains a new road of keeping world peace and promoting common development. I believe practice will prove that the Concept of "Harmonious World" is the unanimous view of all the peace----loving countries at present and in the future.
