With great spread of Education, Science, Culture and Hygiene after the reform and opening up, in particular the implementation of"Every Village Project"system and home appliances going to the countryside policies, television in our urban and rural areas has been greatly popularized. Also in Hunan and Guizhou minority areas television has been the daily necessities. Limited in the early spread of television culture, the earlier and older television viewers who under the longer impacts of television culture are better understand these influences to rural culture.The paper is a research on the old people group in southeastern Guizhou minority areas, through the survey of the characteristics of different types of television programs, and the contrast of different television programs for the daily lives of older ethnic minority areas and the rebuilding of the minority society.This study suggests that early possession of television is a manifestation of capital. As the oldest people contacting with television culture, they have their own unique and different characteristics from other age groups. In the overall level, watching television is the main leisure. Because older age groups acquiring limited culture, the television programs show a greater choice of passivity and blindness. In the individual level, for the differences of education and gender, choices and understandings of television programs within this group are different.For the daily life of elder people, on one hand the agricultural policy, science and technology enrichment class programs, television commercials and other types of television programs lead to a certain degree of accumulated acquisition in the political experience, economic knowledge, knowledge of consumer attitudes and legal aspects. On the other hand, under the impact of new ideas spreading on television, their ideas and behaviors are also undergoing profound changes.Television culture's influences of rural social changes have both positive and negative aspects. The main disadvantages are for declining of discourse power in the marriage model, a strong sense of village belonging and life happiness, and the preservation of traditional culture and heritage with the social function and value.
