Study On The Old-age Security Of Urban Laid-off Workers

At the market-oriented economy of our country, with the continuous deepening of economic reform and the promotion of a modern enterprise system, the number of urban laid-off.workers has drastically increased, especially workers of large or medium-sized enterprises facing more and more serious job-losing crisis, which give impact to the workers' life and bring about economic burden to government and society. Thus, the solution to urban unemployment has become a grim task that all levels of government are facing. The author, before writing this thesis, did on-the-spot investigation of Zhangjiakou City's laid-off workers situation, and has got the latest statistics.This thesis described the main situation of Zhangjiakou City laid-off workers;through the newest statistics, analyzed the status quo of laid-off workers'life and unemployment security; according to domestic and foreign related theories of social security and resolving poverty, expounded the practical significance to strengthen the old-age security of laid-off workers; and proceeding from the human pursuit of a fair put forward alternatives for the government to solve the old-age security of laid-off workers.
