"sunshine Sports" From The Perspective Of Rural School Physical Education Reform

In 2007, our Ministry of Education, General Administration of Sports andCentral Committee of Communist Youth League together decided to carry outhundreds of millions of students nationwide Sunlight Sports Activities in all types ofschools, for short"Sunlight Sports Activities", all over the country. And it is anguiding principle to promote the sports among adolescents, propel a healthydevelopment of Physical Education (PE) in schools so as to fulfill the"people-oriented"requirement, and meet the aim of constructing a harmonioussociety. However, for those rural schools with a laggard PE facility andinfrastructure, it is necessary to reform the PE under the present condition in order torespond our country's appealing actively, carrying out the"Sunshine Sports"projectwell. Consequently, it became a hot topic how to hold the"Sunlight SportsActivities"opportunity, facing the challenge of deepening the PE reform in schools.This paper takes rural middle schools as research object, applying methods ofliterature reviews, questionnaire, on spot and statistics to investigate 11 schoolleaders, 22 sports teachers, and 110 students in 10 respective towns. The contents ofinvestigation include: the software and hardware facilities in Baokang rural schools,how do these schools understand the"Sunlight Sports Activities", theimplementation of the project"one hour physical exercise everyday", the effect afterthe implementation of"Sunlight Sports Activities", the students'attitude to"Sunlight Sports Activities"movement, the factors affecting the implementation of"Sunlight Sports Activities", and the principal reform measures in these schools.Through summarizing, analyzing and researching on these data, I obtained thefollowing conclusions:1. Baokang County Middle School "sunshine sports" is more successful overall implementation, all teachers, school leaders are fully aware of the sun sports,teachers are optimistic about the prospects of implementation;Effectively improvethe health condition of students, with and without implementation of the "sunshinesports" school students showed significant differences in physical;Physicalresources available through the rational allocation and use of innovative forms oftraditional sports programs, school sports need to reform the management system, sothat morning exercise, physical education, extracurricular activities enrich thecontent management more standardized, on the excitation rural middle schoolstudents interested in participating in sports play a positive role in promoting.2. Baokang County middle schools "sunshine sports" there is relatively lateimplementation, facilities lagged behind acute shortage of qualified teachers and lowprofessional quality, lack the necessary financial support, "Student health standards"not fully implemented and Students health issues such as detection system needsimprovement.3.From Baokang County Middle School "sunshine sports" success and unsuccess :Imeditate the implementation of Sunlight Sports Activities"in rural area and thedeepening reform on school PE, and conclude the essential points. It is the PEreform core that under the thought of"Sunlight Sports Activities", we change ourtraditional notion and form the Great PE idea; it is the key point that spreading"Sunlight Sports"project, bringing in talented teachers and enhancing theconstruction of teacher team; and the only shortcut for reform is developing PEcourses and create new ones in accordance with the actual situation, and promotingthe PE infrastructures in schools.
