| This dissertation introduces the studies of the exchanges of diplomas and vocational certificates at home and abroad, the development of tourism,the human resources demands and the current situation of Tourism Major in secondary vocational schools in Qingdao. The study is based on Hotel Service and Management Major in secondary vocational schools in Qingdao and adopts the methods of questionnaires, comparison, case studies, summarization of experiences and documental research. Based on the above mentioned factors, this essay focuses on the feasibility research on the exchange of diploma and vocational certificates in Hotel Service and Management Major in secondary vocational schools in Qingdao, aiming to explore the general pattern of exchange of diplomas and vocational certificates.This essay consists of six parts. Part one is introduction, which introduces the background and meaning of the selected topic, the current research situation at home and abroad. It also defines the concepts and suggests the thread of research and the methods and procedures to solve problems. Part two introduces the intension and features of diplomas and vocational certificates. Part three analyzes the demand of human resources according to the development of tourism in Qingdao, the current teaching situation of Tourism Major, the contradiction of the people educated in vocational schools not suitable for the economy development. The reform aiming to adjust the Tourism Major in secondary vocational schools in Qingdao with the development of the tourism is covered in part four. In part five, based on the urriculum research on the exchanges of diplomas and vocational certificates in Hotel Service and Management Major, a general pattern for the exchanges of two kinds of certificates is summarized. In part six, attention is paid to the procedures of the exchanges of diplomas and vocational certificates.Based on the in-depth studies on the curriculum of exchanges of diplomas and vocational certificates in Hotel Service and Management Major in secondary vocational schools in Qingdao, it is clear that the teaching reform is the reduction theory drive for development of vocational schools. The exchange pattern raised in this essay could be used as a source of reference for the reform of other related majors. |
