Research On The Impact Of Humanities Lecture For Students Development

In the early 90 of last century, vigorous cultural quality education carried out in the major colleges and universities. As an important way to cultural quality education,humanities lecture are also a common practice in the major colleges and universities. However, in-depth study of the humanities lecture is rarely, this study is on this basis, use grounded theory analysis of qualitative research methods, process in-depth interviews to 10 students of Huazhong University of Science and Technology who often listen to lecture, and analyzed, concluded and organized interviews data, to realize all aspects of the impact of humanities lecture for students development, then clarify the value and meaning of existence.Below the main part of this study as follows:First, why are the humanities lectures widely loved by the students? Through the interviews, the author concludes the six characteristics of the humanities lectures of Huazhong University of Science and Technology: rich content, across all areas of the humanities; frequent lecture, and students have sufficient choice; high-quality lectures, the field of humanities and social sciences brings first-class scholars together; lecture-style diversity, different speech styles of different scholars; a strong academic atmosphere, lectures high attendance; lecture space to be a fair deal, the three campuses are convenient to the students listening to lectures at the scene.Second, through collation and analysis of interviews information, summed up the six aspects of the impact of the humanities lectures for students development: increase knowledge of the volume of students; improve the cognitive abilities of students; broaden horizons and vision of students; improve the capacity of the socialization of students; impact on student attitudes, beliefs, values; impact on student career choice and career development.Third, on the basis of the certainty that humanities lectures affect the development of students, the author clarifies the value and meaning of existence.
