The Analysis Of Involved Elements About Outward Bound Course Of Universities In Beijing

Outward Bound is an experiential learning mode which is different from traditional education mode.It is carried out with the help of body activity and with game activity as the organizing form.It's usually used to discover personal potential and social teamwork spirit,and perfect people's personality further.There're about ten universities in Beijing carrying out Outward Bound courses through different training modes.This article analyzed some essential factors related to Outward Bound course in universities in terms of the experience of some teachers who gave training to undergraduates and the condition about this course in universities in Beijing.And then brought up countermeasures in order to support some referrals to universities that be intent on introducing this course.This article will analyze the following factors:the objective and mode of the courses,teaching modes,the setting of items,the location and equipments,teachers,security,and so on.Based on documents,investigating on-the-spot and consulting the experts, the author wrote the article from practice,analyzed the problem and got the following conclusion:(1) This course was aimed at both of the"level of mental health"and the"ability of adapting to society";Carrying out Outward Bound course through four organizing ways;the setting of courses was similar to the other P.E courses,but only one event would be selected in a Outward Bound class usually;as to the exam,theory should be connected with practice, and the appraisal by students should be connected with teachers'.(2) The teaching mode should be different from traditional mode, specially we should put focus on"sharing";the nature and training purpose of different events should be realized in order to choose relative events in accordance with the psychology feature of colleague students, specially we should pay more attention on activities and the initiation of security knowledge;(3) There're five training modes that be chosen by universities in Beijing;choosing convenient training mode according with their universities'budget and site;some special sites,equipments and apparatus are needed if an university wants to carry out Outward Bound course.You may build a specialized base of operations if the objectivity is adequate,or you can carry out the course depending on the university's location and environment,making equipments by experienced teachers.(4) Teachers play important roles in the course of teaching,so we must ensure their high specialty;(5) There're some dangerous factors in Outward Bound course,so we should ensure the security from every aspects,for example,site,equipments, secure apparatus,teachers,management and so on.
