Shipbuilding industry is a modern comprehensive industry that can provide technical equipment for the development of water transport, marine development and naval construction, also it is labor, capital and technology-intensive industry. Shipbuilding industry relates degree, drives strongly and has significant leading effect on the upstream and downstream industries such as mechanical and electrical, steel, chemicals, shipping, mining exploration of marine resources. It can promote the labor employment, develop the export trade and protect the significant coastal defense and security. In addition, shipping industry can provide necessary material means for water transport, energy transportation, agriculture and fisheries, marine development and so on. So many countries focus the shipbuilding industry as the country's pillar industry.Compared with other countries,China has many advantages for the development of shipbuilding industry such as China's abundant labor resource, low labor cost, whole industrial and scientific research system, huge volume of trade,a long suitable coastline for shipbuilding and nearly 3 million square kilometers of the vast sea. In addition, the government has always been supporting the shipbuilding industry with the attention. Therefore,China's development of shipbuilding industry has a strong comparative advantage. At the same time, With the rapid growth of China's foreign trade, the total economy volume jumped to second in the world and the world's shipbuilding industry being accelerating to transfer to the the region of labor force, capital abundant region and strong industrial base, all of these provide a good opportunity and space for China's shipbuilding industry.China's shipbuilding industry is expected to be one of the most competitive industries. In 1994 China had become the third-largest shipbuilding country in the world behind South Korea and Japan, with 5.5% market share in 1994 and rapidly rosing to 34.8% in 2009,breaking 10 million in total DWT every year.lt reached 42.43 million deadweight tons capacity in 2009,47% more than last year;ln the aspect of received orders and new orders, it surpassed South Korea ranking the first in the world for the first time.China is now the world's third largest shipbuilding country. But compared with South Korea, Japan, Europe and other countries and regions,China is Shipbuilding big country and not shipbuilding power. There is low level of technology, supporting industries and backward, low value-added products and the lack of large-scale problems for China's shipbuilding industry. In this paper,on the theory of international competitiveness, by the establishment of a shipbuilding industry competitiveness evaluation index system,it selects South Korea and Japan shipbuilding industry as a reference after the financial crisis, calculates the difference between the various indicators of degree and analyses the causes of gaps and provide corresponding countermeasures. As the financial crisis, global demand for new vessels shrink in 2009,but the shipbuilding capacity is increasing rapidly, therefore, the market competition will become more intense, leading to falling prices of new vessels, and weak capacity of independent innovation of China's shipbuilding industry also begin to appear during the financial crisis. At present, there is a large gap for China's shipbuilding industry in independent research and development performance of major ship compared with Japan,South Korea and other countries of the advanced shipbuilding, for example, luxury cruise, some high-tech, high value-added vessels's designing and manufacturing still depend on foreign imports. In response to the financial crisis and maintain the sustainable development of shipbuilding industry, the government promptly issued《the Shipbuilding industry restructuring and rejuvenation program》and designed a series of measures to help ship-building tide over the difficulties,so as to create conditions for the shipbuilding industry to maintain and increase the international competitiveness. In this paper,it selects the main components of nation competitive advantage made by Michael Porter-the diamond theory as a starting pointand uses the diamond model as a research model. After the various elements analysis of the diamond theory done by qualitative analysis,it selects the accurate and comprehensive data of Japan and South Korea's shipbuilding industry after the financial crisis and makes data quantitative analysis in the specific context of the financial crisis, and using new data has more convincing. After the analysis, it clearly reflects the current situation of China's shipbuilding industry and points out the factors affecting China's international competitiveness. It fully studies various aspects of competitive advantage and disadvantages for China's shipbuilding industry in detail, analyses the international competitiveness of China's shipbuilding industry before and after the financial and finds the gap with Japan and South Korea's shipbuilding industry. Finally,on the basis of the above,it puts forward corresponding countermeasures, with strong accuracy, relevance and practice...
