Nowadays, with the rapid development of economy, supply chain management has extended to the outside from within of the enterprise. The fields it involves are very wide, including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and end customers. Enterprise supply chain network has become increasingly complex and dynamic. In addition, the distribution channels of enterprises are expanding continually and the multi-vendors are extending gradually. All these factors make the enterprises increasingly rely on outsourced manufacturing and logistic. Abnormal event management no longer happens accidentally but frequently. If one supplier or other suppliers perform badly, the enterprise's commitment to its customer's ability will be influenced. Also with the increasingly fierce international competition, the optimization of technological process has become more and more important. The technological optimization process is widely used in supply chain management. By using Gantt chart to describe the plan, the scheduling problem with limited constraints has achieved great success. However, in the actual production process, the constraints are not limited, so little change in the program or data can lead to different final outputs. The ERP, which is based on infinite material and infinite capacity theory, has made great progress through analyzing the material shortage and capacity and then being adjusted by people. The APS, as a complement for ERP, is used to coordinate logistics, develop bottle-neck resources and ensure the delivery date. APS have synchronous and real-time simulation ability to all the resources.Whether the plan will be affected by factors such as equipment, materials, personnel, supply, customer demand and transportation and whether the long-term or short-term plan has the characteristics of optimization, contrast, enforceability, when a link changes, APS will simultaneously check such constraints as capacity, raw material, demand, transport and capital, which will ensure the supply chain plan is valid at any time.Starting from APS, the paper introduces the functions of APS and relations between each layer of APS. In particular it describes the functions of the demand management in APS scheduling. Also it presents some simple APS scheduling methods. Then from the perspective of supply chain management, the paper introduces the simple principle of demand management, some methods of demand forecast and the main effect of demand management in the whole supply chain management process. In the end, the paper tests the result through modeling and simulation, according to the ABC of a famous manufacturer in our country.
