Nowadays, the competitions between enterprises are not only capital size, but also human resources. The fast-developing high-tech enterprises, especially, are facing severe human resources competitions. Human resources are key resources for high-tech enterprises, and compensation is the key incentive for employees. So, how to design a scientific and reasonable compensation system become an important issue for business management theory study and also a big challenge for human resources management practice.As one of the high-tech enterprises, MK has been developing rapidly in recent years and MK's strategic goal is to become a well-known diagnostic products enterprise. Research and development of new products and its production are very important to achieve such goal. So, it's important for the enterprise whether the incentives used can maximize the productivity of the R&D technical staff, who are the key knowledge components of the staff team. MK is facing serious R&D technical staff loss due to low compensation level, thus, MK needs to re-design its compensation system for R&D technical staff urgently.This paper focuses on re-designing the compensation system for the R&D technical staff of MK enterprise. Firstly, it analyzes enterprise compensation system setup principals and design theories based on the reviews of both domestic and international relative theories and studies. R&D technical staff has been put into different categories with further in-depth analysis of their characteristics and needs through position analysis and position evaluation. With the information collection of market compensation level, adjustment objectives of current R&D technical staff compensation and new compensation system that fits enterprise strategic development have been concluded. Meanwhile, this paper also further studies the incentive compensation system for R&D staff and tries to figure out an attractive compensation plan for R&D talents.This paper provides reference ideas and practical solutions for MK human resources management problem, which set up a platform for enterprise to attract, retain and train talents in order to better achieve enterprise strategy. High-tech enterprises are human resources intensive and knowledge-based enterprises. The study of high-tech enterprises compensation system can be used as reference model for scientific and rational design of effective compensation system of high-tech enterprises.
