Now virtual reality technology which is receiving great development has been used in many fields such as military, medical, high-tech simulation studies, teaching reform and travel practice, and advances in it provide a basic protection for development of virtual tour;on this basic, the paper discusses the meaning and development trend of virtual tour, and carries out SWOT analysis on the virtual tour in the current economic and social environment, resulting some conclusions. On the one hand, from the macro level, it proposes countermeasures promoting the development of virtual tour.
