layout.At present,China's western region has a downward pressure on the economy,tight resources and environment,a heavy task of getting rid of poverty,and more difficult economic transformation.There is a big gap between economic and social development and the developed regions in the east.There are multiple difficulties in promoting high-quality economic development.After reviewing the literature on economic development quality,it is found that few experts and scholars have carried out special research on the quality of economic development in western China.Most of them focus on the concept,connotation,meaning,measurement method and promotion path of economic development quality,or Based on the evaluation of the economic development quality of a certain province(city),this paper takes the western part of China as a whole and takes 2006-2016 as the time node to conduct a comprehensive measurement study on the economic development quality of western China.The research results not only construct the theoretical framework of economic development quality in the central and western regions,but also fill in the gaps in the measurement index system and measurement methods for the economic development of western China,and further enrich and develop the existing economic development quality theory.In particular,the concept of economic development quality,indicator system setting,measurement method selection and time-space difference analysis technology.From a practical point of view,the conclusions and suggestions proposed in this paper will help the relevant departments to understand and grasp the status quo,trends,spatial and temporal differences and driving factors of economic development in western China.Regional economic quality development policy measures provide decision-making reference.On the basis of comprehensively combing the research results of domestic and foreign experts and scholars on the quality of economic development,this paper quality of economic development.Based on the scientific,systematic,representative,and usable nature of the sample data,based on the previous research results and the characteristics of the economic defined.Considering the importance of weight setting in the objectivity,accuracy and scientific aspect of the measurement results,this paper comprehensively compares the advantages and disadvantages of the four methods commonly used for objective and subjective empowerment,and finally selects the time according to the characteristics of the research object.The entropy method of the variable calculates the weight of the primary and secondary indicators of economic development quality in western China.The sharing,innovation,and green weights are 0.1924,0.1923,and 0.1855,respectively.The sum of the three dimensions is more than half of the total weight.This indicates that the promotion of high-quality economic development must be shared by the people and must be promoted.To develop characteristics of economic development quality in western China are analyzed.The results show that although the quality difference of economic development in western China is not significant,from the perspective of development trend,the differences in economic development quality of different types of provinces have further expanded.Therefore,while reducing the differences between the economic ellipse distribution,the economic development quality center of gravity moves between Chongqing and Shaanxi,but the trend toward Chongqing is more obvious,indicating that the economic development quality of Chongqing from 2006 to 2016 is the highest in western China,and the speed of increase is faster..Through the use of two factors: factor contribution elasticity and factor contribution rate,the seven indicators are comprehensively analyzed to promote and restrict the quality of economic development in the western region.Overall,from 2006 to 2016,innovation and sharing are the main driving forces for the quality of economic development in western China.Greenness,effectiveness,openness,and safety have not been sufficiently effective in promoting the quality of economic
