The commercial circulation industry plays a key role in the development of national economy. The study on the regional disparity of commercial circulation industry could promote a deeper understanding of the issue of China's unbalanced economy development. This paper first reviews the history of China's commercial circulation industry, which could be divided clearly into two stages based on the implementation of the Open and Reform Policy. In the first stage, under the planned-economy system, the whole nation had not valued the commerce and trade circulation, which dramatically restricted the development of China's commercial circulation industry. In the second stage after 1979, however, China was beginning to establish the social economy system with Chinese characteristics. The nation began to implement multi-ownership system, under which the modern multi-channels circulation industry has been established and developed. Then, this paper tends to focus on the influences of commerce and circulation on regional economy development, including effects on regional production, consumption, distribution as well as industrial correlations. On the basis of that, this paper sets up an index evaluation system under the perspective of commerce and circulation efficiency, which includes 5 first-grade and 27 second-grade indexes. Based on the index system, data from the newest statistic yearbook has been chosen for a Factor Analysis using SPSS software. According to the results, the situation, reason and possible solution of the regional disparity of China's commerce and circulation industry have been discussed.
