On this basis, Based on the reasearch of predecessor, ancient historical material, Ganchang Social survey and discovery in archaeology, this paper intends to research Gaochang dress materials and Species.Through to the unearthed documents and the cultural relic data analysis shows that the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern dynasties period of clothing materials, the Gaochang dress type have some development based on previous, and materials increasingly rich, besides the traditional local production of hair, skin, cotton, also have foreign materials input, such as hemp, silk and cotton fabric, and decorative material, such as Inscriptions,wood-bone and pearl shell,but in this period the people dress material still is the hemp primarily.From the Turfan texts, image data and real relics of physical analysis, The type and shape of Gaochang clothing Mainly includes chapeau, hairstyle, clothing, jewelry and ornaments and so on in 3-7 century. And the types and characteristics of the Gaochang clothing also has change during the period.
