With the continuous progress of harmonious railway construction, the pace of railway reform and development speed obviously. By 2020, the separate of freight and passenger line will be basically completed and the busy mainline railway transport capacity will be greatly released. After the regional thoroughfare being through, the freight transportation will convert to external type and realize the customer request being ratified when they arrive and freight with just-in-time small grouping of passenger operation mode. In order to adapt to this change, the railway departments will reconsider the rationality of business processes within the organization and inter-organization in a new way.This article studies the process reengineering of the rail freight transportation under the supply chain environment. It establishes the Petri net models for the main business process of rail freight terminal and analyzes the problem of the operation procedure in our country's rail freight terminal. On this basis, it sums up the idea of rail freight transportation process reengineering. Through the framework, this article optimizes and improves the process of the ordinary freight trains, bulk directly cargo trains and the container train with the comprehensive methods of ESIA. Then it builds a railway freight transportation process evaluation system. Through the establishment of Petri net model for railway freight transportation evaluation, it chooses time parameter contra posing the straight-through flow path of the Xiangtan Iron and Steel Enterprises and simulates and evaluates them with the ExSpect simulation tools. At the end of this article, we summarize some research results and put forward to the direction of future research to explore.
