Research On The Land Comprehensivecarrying Capacity Of Western Ethnic Areas

Land resource, the material foundation of the mankind survival and development,is the most basic means of production of human labor and the most important object.Great changes have taken place in the land resources utilization of the increasingrequirements for the land with the continuous increase of population as well asacceleration of industrialization and urbanization. In order to utilize the land resourcesustaining and develop harmoniously among people, resource and environments, thestudy on carrying capacity of land is always an important area in land science.The thesis takes western ethnic areas as the research area, prefectures as theassessing units. Basing on land comprehensive carrying capacity theory andassessment indicators, the thesis constructs assessment indicator system of landcomprehensive carrying capacity in western ethnic areas that relating to society,economy, ecology and resources. It determines the weight of each index by analytichierarchy process and mean squared deviation method, calculates the value throughoutthe western ethnic areas(regions, autonomous prefectures and leagues), and the thesisdivides the territory of western ethnic areas into four classificatory areas using theGIS software. Finally, the thesis gives some measures to improve the landcomprehensive carrying capacity of western ethnic areas. It is allocated together forsix parts:PartⅠis the introduction which contains the blackboard and meaning of thisthesis, the main methods of research, the content of this article and technical line.PartⅡis the overview of land comprehensive carrying capacity,after summarizingthe content and basic characteristics of land carrying capacity, it analyzes the progressof land carrying capacity at home and aboard systematically, the main problems andtasks of land carrying capacity.PartⅢis the evaluation of land comprehensive capacity in western ethnic areas,under the theory of sustainable development, follow certain principles, the thesis takesthe land comprehensive capacity as the target stratum, social subsystem, economic andtechnological subsystem, ecological resource subsystem as the criterion level, the 17specific evaluating indicators as the index layer, has formed the index system of landcomprehensive carrying capacity. And it specifically describes analytic hierarchyprocess,mean squared deviation method and calculation of comprehensive evaluation.PartⅣis the research of land comprehensive carrying capacity in western ethnic district. First of all, this thesis defines the western ethnic areas, deals theindicators with non-dimensional processing, according to the evaluation of landcomprehensive carrying capacity, calculates the value throughout the western ethnicareas (regions, autonomous prefectures and leagues) and divides the territory ofwestern ethnic areas into four classificatory areas using the natural break method inthe GIS software. The four classificatory areas are low capacity areas, mediumcapacity areas, high capacity areas and higher capacity areas.PartⅤ, based on the previous analysis, gives some measures to improve the landcomprehensive carrying capacity of western ethnic areas.PartⅥsummarizes the main conclusion, and puts forward to the inadequaciesand in-depth issues that requires solved.
