Hangzhou Land Comprehensive Carrying Capacity Evaluation

Abstract:Along with the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,the acceleration of industry transition and promotion in Hangzhou,the contradiction between limited supply of land and unlimited demand for land is very outstanding.The development of city faces some problems with resource, population, economy, environmental and so on gradually. Land is a kind of scarce resource which can not be moved, is the carrier of the city’s existence and development. At a certain time and space, its bearing capacity is limited. Therefore, it is very important to do research on land comprehensive carrying capacity of Hangzhou, and analyse the current situation of land comprehensive carrying capacity, forecast its development trend, explorate ways how to guarantee the demand of land for economic development and make land be coordinated utilization.This article start from the concept of the land comprehensive carrying capacity,construct the evaluation index system of Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity based on soil and water resources carrying capacity, ecological carrying capacity,social carrying capacity and economic carrying capacity.analyze Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity using the mean of mean-squared deviation weight decision method, AHP, multi-index comprehensive evaluation method and cluster analysis, the one hand,compare the changes of Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity from2004to2010;on the other hand,compare Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity with other23cities’in2010.The results show that, Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity has gradually increased,economic carrying capacity and social carrying capacity’s contribution is the largest,soil and water resources carrying capacity and ecological carrying capacity become the major obstacle factors; in24cities, Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity at a medium level, is obviously lagging behind Shenzhen, Dongguan which cities with high land comprehensive carrying capacity,so there are large room for improvement of Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity. On these basis,we put forward the proposal on population, economic development, Intensive land use, the adjustment of industrial structure, ecological construction and so on to raise Hangzhou land comprehensive carrying capacity.
