Auto stores as a new building type is produced with the development of automobile industry. Auto store is an important place which to show the development of automobile industry in the future, reflect the strength of automobile enterprises, corporate culture, customer reception, promotion for Automotive Products and auto sales. With the increasingly competitive in auto market, increase of people's living standard, increase of people's taste for consumption, consumer guide and promotion for new car become increasingly important. Therefore, the design of auto store, how to attract potential customers stop and stay, and guide them to visit, then buy the cars, is the most important condition for the design.Currently, in foreign developed countries, about the research on the design of auto store has accumulated many successful experiences. But In China is that still in development stage. We want also a lot of theory and practical experience to support our auto stores. Therefore, the research of auto stores has very important practical significance.Paper is divided into four sections:The first chapter described the background of the subject, purpose and significance of the research. Then it summarized related research data, defined the relevant concepts, and finally made the method for research of the subject and framework of the paper;The second chapter traced the origin of auto stores, development and evolution, and by comparison with other similar buildings, the paper presented the request of a unique design for a auto store and the main factors to impact auto store ;Chapter three, the paper analyzed and discussed the factors, which affect sales space model of auto store, according to results of the research. Then it analyzed detailed and in-depth the cases of sales space model of auto stores, discussed the external environment, elements, traffic line, types of sales space model of Auto store .At last, it summarized the lack of auto stores in china.Chapter four, based on chapter three, the paper proposed the design Principles for sales space model of auto stores, under the guidance of this principle, man can make bold ideas and research. It proposed also the variability for design of sales space model of auto store. There are some specific designs about the entrance, exhibition space, sales and service space, internal office space etc, and discussed how to realize the variability of design for sales space model of auto store.
