China and ASEAN are the major producer and consumers of agriculture products in the world. Agriculture is the basis for China and ASEAN countries. The agriculture program has always been the focus of China and ASEAN. In 2002, CAFTA set to be built, and two years later the early harvest program was put into effect, and now CAFTA has been completed, China and ASEAN bilateral agricultural products trade has developed rapidly. Therefore, study the issues of China–ASEAN agricultural trade in-depth has far-reaching practical significance.This study uses qualitative analysis and empirical analysis, aims to empirical study the static effect and dynamic effect of the expand trade in agricultural products between China and ASEAN. Through gravity model of trade and comparative advantage index for its empirical analysis, the use of the gravity model of trade to determine the main factors which effected China and ASEAN agricultural products trade, the trade creation effect, trade diversion and the use of RCA index to research and testify the competitive landscape of the agricultural trade between China and ASEAN countries. Finally, based on the above analysis, provide appropriate policy recommendations. on one hand, China should adjust its agricultural structure, strengthening and promoting the cooperation in agricultural technology and trade. On the other hand seek common ground, to avoid both economic and political conflicts of interest.
