Study On Lean Production Application In Assembly Workshop Of Faw-vw

Promoted by a series of such policies and measures as expanding domestic demand, restructuring industry, ensuring growth and the Automobile Industry Restructuring and Revitalization Plan set by the Central Government, China's PC market overcame the influence of international financial crisis and the sales of homemade automobiles took a turn and boomed at the end of 2009. On the threshold of 2010, the economy continues to rebound and the series of policies on revitalization plan will also sustain. It is predicted that the PC demand is further higher. Facing the rare historical opportunity for development, major auto manufacturers increase production in succession but all are restricted by the capacity bottleneck due to pre-planning. As the global recall of Toyota in the beginning of 2010 is ranging increasingly wider, the contemplation has been aroused on how to increase both production capacity and product quality in the automobile industry of China.Under this background, the paper covers a survey on the studies in the lean aspects of thinking, production theory, production technology and the application tools of lean production. The paper also analyzes the application of German lean production system in FAW-Volkswagen's Assembly Workshop, and meanwhile the two innovative ways of lean production are raised: first, the campaign to solve the problem of capacity bottleneck has been launched among all the staff to increase the manufacturing efficiency through the all-round improvement of production system and the operating rate of equipments; second, the measure to improve the quality of products has been carried out that product and process check, quality control and green passage go through the stages of the birth of a car. On the basis of which, the paper further provides ideas on how to achieve the strategic goal of enterprise development , set development strategies and make decisions.
