Shandong Netcom Sme Innovation Model Of Information Technology And Development Strategy

In the fast-developing telecommunication industry, Shandong Province Network Communication Company (marked as Shandong NetCom) is facing a very severely competing position. As a result of competing, the broad band Internet connectivity service of Shandong NetCom has an absolute dominance in the market. The fast development of infomationization of the middle-and-small-scale companies has made an especial contribution to this.In such an environment, how can Shandong NetCom strengthen the competing dominance in the broad band Internet connectivity service and change the present state of having voice service as the main earning has become an important question, which is the kernel task in the transferring process from a traditional operator to an integral information provider.Making a full use of Shandong NetCom's overall strength and developing the infomationization service for the middle-and-small-scale companies is an important act in promoting the broad band Internet connectivity service. This is also the subject of this thesis.In this thesis, several popular strategy analysis theories such as the Boston Matrix and Five Competitive Forces model of Porter are used. With the direction of these theories, the industry competitive environment, the position of the broad band service and the important role of promoting the infomationization service for the middle-and-small-scale companies are analyzed. The strength and weakness of Shandong NetCom comparing with other competitors are analyzed using the SWOT model. The Shandong NetCom's total policy of developing the infomationization service for the middle-and-small-scale companies is further discussed.Moreover, based on the weakness of the traditional developing pattern in infomationization of the middle-and-small-scale companies, a new development pattern is proposed innovatively.
