Perishable High-tech Products During The Update Process Of Risk Identification, Assessment And Decision-making Research

Perishable high-tech products are the products which values declined rapidly and continuously resulting from technical progressing. As perishable high-tech products have the especial features just like short life cycles and frequently renewing, renewal is a very important decision-making question for product development in high tech enterprise. But the process of renewing is a high-risk business activity with much uncertainty, and the understanding of risk as an imperative for renewal is underdeveloped. Therefore, this paper will try to research the risks in renewing period of perishable high-tech products.Based on previous literature of risk analysis and perishable high-tech products renewal theory, an analytic framework of risk study in the renewing period is developed. Firstly, this paper discusses the content of risk in the renewing period, summarizing the risk characteristics and classification. Then the risk factors are analyzed from five aspects, and the main risk factors are defined by theoretical analysis and empirical study. Based on above, this paper introduces a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for risk evaluation in renewing period. Finally, the risk factors are introduced in the decision-making of high-tech products renewal policy, and the renewing multi-objective fuzzy decision-making model is founded.The research of risks in renewing period is a new field in risk management study of high-tech products, and it provides suggestions for risk prevention and renewal management for high-tech enterprises. Therefore this study has the theoretical and practical significance both. Hope that this discussion can make some contributions for the understanding of renewing period risks,and provide the scientific method and reliability theory for its risk management and decision-making.
