Analysis And Design Of Telecommunications Interconnection Settlement Pricing Model

With the development of technologies and servicesas well as the changes of competition situation in China's telecom industry, and the strategic transformation of telecom operators with the expansion of their business scope, the existing interconnection settlement architecture between various telecom networks can not meet the needs of the changes of the existing telecom market, which can be mainly listed as below: the first, the issuing of full-service licenses will change the market structure; the second, VoIP launches more and more challenges against traditional services; and the third, substitution between mobile services and fixed-line services has been accelerated.For the fixed-line operators, the settlement trend between fixed-line network and mobile network, reforms of settlement plans between fixed-line networks, and the settlement positioning of VoIP have great impact on the strategic transformation and services development of fixed-line operators in the new market competition situation.In this thesis, the author introduces not only the basic concept and basic theories of interconnection settlement but also the settlement situation in China, makes diagnosis on the existing problems, and points out that the existing interconnection settlement price architecture can not meet the needs of the development of the telecom market.
