In the knowledge-base economy age, Competition among corporations is fundamentally competition of talented persons in this era. As the price mark of the human capital, the salary has the suitable guidance function to the talented person's flow. How to attract, retain and motivate the core resource is the profound problem to them. To corporation, compensation management is a sword with two-blades. If it was used correctly, compensation management would help to attract, keep, and inspire the talented. Otherwise, it would bring the corporation crisis. It is very importance for company to gain the advantage on existence and competition by establishing the new, scientific, systemic compensation management system in the knowledge-base economy age. The reform and the consummation salary management system, is also an urgent duty which the enterprise current faces.KY Corporation is one civilian-run enterprise which monopolizes turbochargers. With several decades' development, the present salary system has gradually exposed many problems which have hindered the further development of the corporation. The non-scientific and inappropriate compensation system has impeded the activity of personnel. The present thesis aims to help the corporation solve the troublesome problem, how to attract and stimulate personnel so as to improve the productivity and keep the top advantage in the competitive markets through designing the salary system of the corporation.According to some theories such as modern human resource management theory, compensation management theory and incentive theory, the present thesis adopts several methods including questionnaire, interview, information collection and enterprise survey to provid fundentmal theory and real diagnosis. Firstly, the thesis introduces the development process and tendency of relevant compensation-design theories in order to make theoretical preparations for redesigning the compensation system of KY Corporation.
