Sme Supply Chain Inventory Management

With the development of China's information industry, the outlook of enterprises has been profoundly affected by great changes in social and economic structure, patterns of production and consumption structure. The widespread application of information technology and electronic information equipment, the development and utilization of information resources, the adjustment of the industrial structure and the promotion of innovation in management and the acceleration of economic development have been adopted by government and enterprises as the development strategies in the 21st century. However, the development of our domestic information enterprises is in a state of imbalance, the development level and the degree of popularity of the enterprise information system are so different because of the type of business, the ownership of industry and the local economic situation. Due to the influence of various factors, medium and small-sized enterprises are in a very disadvantageous position in the tide of information system and are facing the situation of being dissociated with the field of information technology, which will have a direct impact on the survival and development of the enterprises.In this paper, the author is to focus and to give a more detailed study on the following aspects.Ⅰ. A study and dissertation on theories of enterprise information system, the different stages of information system in medium and small-sized enterprises and their characteristics.Ⅱ. An elaboration on the stock management basic principle from aspects of the definition of stock, the management scope, the quantity and the control, the ordering batch and the batch specification as well as the accuracy of the stock records.Ⅲ. An analysis of the stock management and its characteristics under the supply chain environment, and the methods to realize it—VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), according to the supply chain integration theory.Ⅳ. Methods to apply the zero-stock principle to the system. The paper introduces the definition of zero-stock, the necessary conditions under which the zero-stock management can be implemented as well as the possible forms of the zero-stock. In order to clarify the zero-stock, 4 methods to help understand the zero-stock connotation also be introduced in this paper.Ⅴ. Strategies of information development which center on the stock management under the supply chain environment. In order to realize these strategies, this paper gives a detailed analysis of the realization of each link. On the basis of realizing the stock management information processing, medium and small-sized enterprises can effectively select and determine the core business flow related to enterprises and stock management, to the effect that the system integration, supply chain management (SCM) and customer relations management (CRM) can be achieved.
