Basing on their operation situation, management system, brand construction, human resources, enterprise culture, enterprise creation, the author carried out series of sample researches in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hainan, Henan, Gansu, Tianjin, Liaoning. The results express: after tens-years expansion, hotels in China are seriously over-constructed; besides the surplus problem, the lacking of proper adjustment in management, human resources and cost control under the changing marketing conditions, and the competitions from the foreign-invested hotels, which are much experienced in the management, brand, and marketing networks, and the loss of human resources who are absorbed by the foreign-invested hotels which offer better working conditions, in a word, the running condition for the hotel industry in China is worse and worse. And its disadvantages can be listed as follows: firstly, repeated construction for hotels, and its supply is much more than market demands, and the lacking of competing ability in scale and concentration process; secondly, products of hotels in China tend to be similar and are lacking of division of marketing, and the vicious competition is everywhere while the process of group management is slow; thirdly, for the hotel industry in China, the lacking of competent talents and the loss of experienced staff are great headache, besides that, the lacking of enterprise culture and the less advance for the management idea greatly hinder the development of the hotel industry in China. According to the ripe experience of the international hotel giants, the cultivation of one's core competition ability is the natural rule for a lifelong enterprise. And accordingly, how to cultivate and improve the core competition ability of civil hotel industry has become the focus of home hotel industry, and naturally, it raises a question for the academic circles. As for the cultivation and maintenance of the core competition ability for hotel industry in China, the article insists that we must pay more attention to the cultivation of the human resource, and the construction of"the studying model team", and the direction of"the studying model staff", while we must adapt to more creative, scientific and complete management system, and then brings about an united, civilized, harmonious, and offertory atmosphere, and finally hasten the core competition ability of hotel industry in China.
