There was a significant association between job satisfaction and some primary individual behavior variables, such as performance, turnover, and absence and so on. The job satisfaction level can directly reflect the organization and management efficiency of the enterprise and, to a certain extent, can affect the benefit of the enterprise. This article concentrated on the determinants of job satisfaction. At present, the domestic and foreign theorists mostly regarded the determinants of job satisfaction as separate dimension when they were carrying on related survey and research. These kinds of studies had certain limitation because the interaction of those dimensions was neglected. To make it up, this article, viewing from the fit theory, highlights the interaction of the determinants of job satisfaction and, systematically analysis how the job satisfaction may form.Based on a survey, this article made an empirical study on the determinants of job satisfaction from the angle of Fit theory. The article mainly analyzed the extent to which job satisfaction might be determined by the person-organization fit(P-O), person-job fit(P-J) and its sub-concept. Main conclusions of this article are: (1) it is effective to study determinants of job satisfaction from the angle of fit theory and, P-O and P-J have a high explanation potency of job satisfaction;(2) P-J, under the situation of other variables controlled, is a more powerful predictor of job satisfaction than P-O;(3) supply-value fit(S-V), out of the three sub-concepts of P-J, is the key factor which influences job satisfaction most. Finally, the article compared the result with related results, both of domestic and foreign research. Also, a satisfaction model based on the fit theory was established.
