Intercity Traffic Analysis, To Enhance The Role Of The Urban Agglomeration Of Industrial Competitiveness

The competition of the current international economy has already become the competition of megalopolis. Megalopolis have become the motivity of world economic growth. The core of competitiveness of megalopolis is industry competitiveness. Proceeding with intercity traffic, this article analyzes the active mechanism of intercity traffic on industry competitiveness of megalopolis, and then makes a positive research on the advancing effect of intercity traffic in growing industry competitiveness of the Changjiang triangle area, finally proposes the policy suggestions of the development of intercity traffic in our country to improve industry competitiveness of megalopolis.In theory, this article defines concepts of intercity traffic and industry competitiveness of megalopolis at first. Basing on the retrospect of relevant theory of the two, this article analyzes the advancing effect of intercity traffic on industry competitiveness of megalopolis from both macroscopical and microcosmic points of view, in which the macroscopical aspects include gross economy, total demand, urbanization and employment; while microcosmic aspects include industrial structure, industrial benefit, correlate industries, industrial chain and regional spatial industrial zone. Above effects are corresponding with experiences of Japan. And then, this article designs appraisal index system of the effect of intercity traffic on industry competitiveness of megalopolis. Taking growing the triangle as research object, this article does a positive analysis based on relative data from 1990 to 2004.In the positive analysis, this article studies and confirms the effect of intercity traffic on industry competitiveness of megalopolis roundly. This article calculates the relative degree between foreign investment and the length of road and railway, the result of which is that the relative degree is rather strong; calculates the relativity of profit rate on costs and expenses and product sale rate with gross freight, the result of which is that they are extreme relevant. And then, using principal components analysis, this article make a statistic analysis on all the appraisal indexes of the effect of intercity traffic on industry competitiveness of megalopolis, calculates the weight and score of every principal component, then gets annual industry competitiveness of the triangle. The result shows that the industry competitiveness grows year by year. Basing on principal components analysis and using entropy method, this article calculates the contribution rate of the effect of intercity traffic on industry competitiveness of megalopolis. However, the contribution rate isn't enough, so we put forward some policy suggestions.
