Under the background of manufacture globalization and management groupization, inventory control is not only the important activities in supply chain management, but also plays an important role in the corporation of supply chain. With the social economic development and technological progress, the studies for inventory control are facing grater challenges and higher requirements have been raised. The goal of this thesis is to do study on inventory control from the supply chain management perspective, which is very meaningful for theory research and practice.Firstly, by discussing systematically the knowledge such as inventory control and supply chain management, the deficiencies of the traditional study were proposed. Secondly, three different strategies for inventory control in supply chain of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Joint Managed Inventory (JMI) and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) were analyzed. Thirdly, based on different coordinators of supply chain, the strategies of distributed decision making for inventor control in supply chain, and hub based decision making for inventor control in supply chain were proposed separately. And then, more detailed analysis were done for the above two strategies. In the former, based on cost optimizing, the price discounts and transportation discounts were considered in an inventory control model of distributed decision making with random demand; In the latter, the key points and scope of application for the model were analyzed, and though that, the control model for a hub to consignment for downstream industry in the same region was set up. What's more, the validities for the models were validated though two examples.
