Abc's International Power Plant Engineering And Construction Business To The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Overall Cost Leadership Strategy

According to the author's experience of 6 years in power plant project management and marketing, made use of the business and administration knowledge form MBA program, this paper is to discuss the problems in implementing overall cost leadership strategy of ABC company in international power plant project contracting and give the suggestions to solve the problems.In this paper, the author analyzes the marketing situation of international project contracting, introduces ABC company's aims and strategies, and then have overall cost leadership strategy in ABC company's EPC. The author attempts to analyze the problems of implementing international EPC projects in the view of marketing, regard the international EPC projects as the products of ABC company, regard the EPC projects'bidding price as the products'pricing, and study the problems from organization structure, quality management, plan management, cost management and human resources management during the course of completing the products, analyze the existed problems in implementing overall cost leadership strategy from the five aspects above. In terms of advanced management theories and methods, the author confirms the organization structure and give the suggestions to solve the problems of blocking the overall cost leadership in implementing through consummating and supervising the quality management, promoting the plan management, controlling the cost management and strengthening the human resources management of EPC projects.
