A Company Traffic Consultant Service Project Management Study

With the rapid development in China since the initiation of the reforms and open policy during the past 30 years,the number of vehicles has become much larger as well as the acceleration of urbanization.Traffic problems must be considered by more and more city organizers.They frequently require a special traffic planning study to be done before the start of many main projects.As a newly emerging force,the traffic planning group in A company has had experience in the Chinese market for only a short time.Therefore,there are many problems and issues that are caused in project management due to cultural differences and a large gap between the eastern and western art of management during the group's development.The project management system should be improved in traffic group.In this paper,guiding by the related project management theory,analysis and optimization have been done for the current management problem with traffic group.The contents mainly focus on five aspects which include organization management,communication management,progress management,quality management and cost management.For the organization management,management structure and its modules have been described,WBS methods and quantitative implementation plan methodology used to enhance the system as well.For commutation management,internal management and external management have been considered to improve,and knowledge shared and efficient teamwork is trying to shape as the help of new computer technology.For the progress management,critical path method and management structure optimization works well with the organization management improvement.ISO9001 quality managements system shapes the group's quality system.For the cost control management,how to use cost estimation techniques,budget,final accounts and audit technology has been described.In this study,the reasons for the series problems on project management have been indicated and the management system has been optimized in order to build an orderly control system and provide a useful reference for future project.
