Production planning of virtual enterprise(VE) is the key matter forcore-company integrating core competence of associate-company andachieving customers'product or service. Aiming at problem of difficultyon enacfion and enforcement of production planning in the VE,suchissues including the multi-stage availabe to promise(ATP) system andoperation model considering the ATP in the VE, promises' procedurewithin multi-stage order's ATP, the VE production planning modelconsidering promised orders and ant colony optimization algorithm basedon mixed strategy are studied by starting at point of the ATP. Combiningwith a enterprise's instance of practical operation in ChangSha, anexample is given to explain the feasibility and availability of the abovecontent finally.The main opinions and research results are as follows.(1) The ATP theory was summarized from aspects of finishedproducts ATP, components ATP, capacity to promise(CTP),delivery topromise(DTP), profitable to promise(PTP) and factors influencingcompany's ATP implement are analyzed. Further, the practical applicationof the ATP is reviewed.(2) Aimed at characteristics of the VE, a operation pattern and orderpromises'procedure of the VE are presented to realize the mluti-stage ATPafter analyzing the current production planning mode of the VE. Thepattern and the procedure considering the members'storage of raw andprocessed materials, semi-manufactured goods, finished goods andthroughput is drived by the order or market chance with focusing aroundthe ATP. A way is given to realize the order's ATP by stepwise promisesand feedback.(3) The enaction and enforcement of production planning of the VEare studied, and the models of production planning in the VE undermulti-constraints such as orders promised and limited materials areconstructed. Its objective function is each member's profitmaximization. The models include preparatory order's up-to-downarrangement and exact down-to-up ATP to help the core-company enacts available production planning and realize the ATP to customer's order.(4) Aimed at the above procedure of order promises and productionplanning models in the VE, a ant colony optimization algorithm based onmixed strategy is designed.The penalty factors are intergrated intotransition pobability and selection strategy of orders, and then thecontinuous order set is moved by optimal algorithm.At last,the mostoptimal start working time and completion time of each order isobtained. On the base of the time,the due date of new order is determinedby the optimal models.Under this data,Every members can arrange theproduct activities.
